Festival 04:18
Kitty-Mae goes away In her 3-man tent that she bought in Gwent Pitches under the Cherry tree With the home from home refugees And this is how we spend our summer days Plastic pints and patterned paper plates No you couldn’t put a price on what we pay For us to come and live this way Dolly deals in her heels Finger food to the multitude Spreads fish on bruschetta bread And gives out seeds to the poppy heads And this is how we spend our summer days With plastic pints and patterned paper plates No you couldn’t put a price on what we pay For us to come on out and play Bohemians to be We won’t whine if the sun don’t shine Banjo Joes’ in the know he can show show show us for free Micky Moore, what’s the score? Year on year in the stratosphere Stomps his feet, claps his hands Avoids the hype and the must see bands And this is how we spend our summer days With plastic pints and patterned paper plates No you couldn’t put a price on what we pay For us to come and live this way © Philip Lewis-Jones 2013

If I showed you a route out of here Would you use it? If the path was laid bare and clear Would you choose it? We’re a One Way Street Where cars collide Flesh and metal meet And I’m too numb inside to decide which way to go If you gave me the key to your heart I would lose it And if I became the apple of your eye You know I’d bruise it We’re a One Way Street Where heads collide Flesh and bone meet And I’m too numb inside to decide which way to go Many times I’ve fallen short of your trust And abused it…. So if I begged you for one more chance ….Just refuse it We’re a One Way Street Where fools collide Flesh and ego meet And I’m too numb inside to decide which way to go © Philip Lewis-Jones 2013

WLTM 04:11
Solo and staid he stayed at home alone Changed his face, his age, his name Faked life, deleted history And liked the man that he became And liked the man he became She spoke mute words with her fingertips Sixty w.p.m. Teased the weak, created mystery LOL, thought “more fool them” LOL thought, “more fool them”.....LOL Does it feel like we’re going backwards? At nine thousand k.b.p.s. The hurt, inert forever searching A place where more is often less Modern Mog and Mwfanwy Price Doting, daring, dull, discreet Crowd the ether from hill to sea With love that fills the void so deep With love that fills the void so deep With love that fills the void so deep Its love that fills the void © Philip Lewis-Jones 2013

Come And Be 05:37
Come and be, come and be the one Come and be, come and be the one Come and be you’ll do for me Be the lifeboat on this sea-saw sea-saw sea Come and be everything and nothing Be the words to the tune I’m humming Keep it neat, keep it sweet, keep it near, keep it far Comme ci comme ça, Take my world Make it spin Round and round Fire ring Freak me out Plug me in I’m still waiting for you.... Come and be, come and be my friend and Come and become something special Flick a switch, turn on the light Tick the box, be my vox of love and sing….. Come to me my brave tomorrow Come fill this shell so hollow Spook the ghost, make the most and hold me close Ar hyd y nos….. © Philip Lewis-Jones 2013

about

With endorsements from Tom Robinson and Simon Raymonde still ringing in their impressionable ears, Bark Prelude swing back into summer action with their Festival EP.

Remixed from their debut album Start of Something Minor, Festival is a song shamelessly designed to wring some radio play out of their experiences in the trenches of Britain's sodden fields and sweaty tents. The track will be promoted by a series of Bark Prelude festival appearances where, in "guerilla gig" style, the band will perform unannounced at various festivals in unlikely spots. They might be in a food stall, lurking in the car park, or slap bang in front of a row of portaloos. Either way, for the poor audience there will be no escape.

"One Way Street", "WLTM" and "Come and Be" are three brand new spanking tracks.
